Stephanie Howell

Originally from New Hampshire in the United States, Stephanie first came to Australia in 2009 as an international student to undertake a semester abroad. After falling in love with Australia, she decided to transfer her studies to James Cook University where she completed a double Bachelor Degree in law and environmental science. Stephanie then obtained her Australian citizenship in April of 2023.

Stephanie has a strong passion in environmental law and the role that law can play in addressing environmental matters. Her studies have given her an understanding of both the legal and practical aspects of environmental management, which she brings to her work. One of her biggest strengths is being able to communicate with people from a range of backgrounds, and effectively achieve the positive outcome for the clients.

In her free time, she loves spending time with her family and discovering the new “local secrets” Rockhampton has to offer.

Stephanie is looking forward to continuing to develop her legal career with Rees R & Sydney Jones and contributing to our Energy, Environment & Agriculture team.
