Kerry Attwill

Kerry has been an integral part of the Rees R & Sydney Jones team since 2005, when she was admitted as a Solicitor. Her dedication and passion for the field have consistently been evident throughout her career. Under the mentorship of former partner Gerard Houlihan, Kerry honed her skills and expanded her expertise in both Commercial Law and Wills & Estates. This mentorship experience was pivotal in her decision to continue developing her proficiency in these areas, enabling her to offer our clients a comprehensive range of services.

In recognition of her hard work and contributions, Kerry became a Partner of the firm in 2012. Since then, her journey has served as an inspiration to all of us, exemplifying the values of commitment, growth, and excellence that we strive for at Rees R & Sydney Jones. In July 2025, Kerry reached another milestone in her career by becoming Managing Partner and continuing to lead by example.

Kerry’s roots trace back to Tully, North Queensland, but she has since made Rockhampton her home. Outside of her professional life, Kerry enjoys spending quality time with her husband and twin girls on their acreage west of Rockhampton. She has a passion for gardening and takes great pride in cooking with the fresh produce they grow themselves.

In addition to her legal career, Kerry has also contributed significantly to the community. She has served on various not-for-profit boards, recently completing the maximum terms with both the Capricornia Training Company/MRAEL and St Ursula’s College Yeppoon.
